Shanghai Shimao Plaza, located at the gateway to Nanjing East Road, features a brand-new building exterior with a "theater-style" mega-structure entrance. More than ten long white columns support a triangular concave top. The entire building has been redesigned from its original enclosed appearance, using a super-white LOW-E double-glazed glass curtain wall processed and produced by Shanghai Haojing, achieving a transparent and simple effect; reconstructing the mall's light and fashionable new image in the city; the outer plaza is designed with a red flying staircase, allowing consumers to enter the mall's third-floor "grand stage" with a sense of ceremony.

Rong Wujie, President of the Shanghai Architectural Society's Real Estate Architects Branch, and Yang Fan, Vice President of the Shanghai Architectural Society's Real Estate Architects Branch, engaged in an on-site interactive exchange on "Suhe Bay: A World-Class Urban Revitalization Practice on the Riverbank—Client and Contractor Perspectives"
